Anyone can remove rust from their tools with no scrubbing or sanding. Let EVAPO-RUST® do all the work for you without having to use gloves, masks, or protective eyewear, and it doesn’t give off any bad fumes or odors. Follow these four easy steps to rust-free tools and skip all the hard work.

Four Easy Steps to Rust-Free Tools

A product of extensive research, EVAPO-RUST® rust remover is an environmentally safe water-based product that is biodegradable and easy to use.

Step 1: Prep

In a container, pour enough EVAPO-RUST® to cover the rusted object completely. It is best to remove excess dirt and oil on the object before soaking.

The type of container doesn’t matter since EVAPO-RUST® will not harm unrusted steel, is safe on other metals, and doesn’t affect plastic.

Step 2: Soak

Immerse the rusty object in the solution and leave it for 30 minutes for light rust or up to overnight for extremely heavy rust.

Step 3: Rinse

When finished, rinse the item with water. If deep rust remains in pits, re-immerse it until all the rust is gone. Un-rusted metal will not be affected. NOTE: This stage is especially important in getting the best results.

Step 4: Finish

To prevent flash rusting, dip the item back into clean EVAPO-RUST®. Then allow it to air dry to prevent rust for up to two weeks. Or spray with RUST-BLOCK™ to prevent re-rusting for up to 1 year.

EVAPO-RUST® has an indefinite shelf life. The product can be re-used until its effectiveness starts to wear off. One gallon of EVAPO-RUST® will remove 1/2 pound of pure dry rust.

When EVAPO-RUST® is spent, in most cases, it can be dumped into the city sewer. You will know that EVAPO-RUST® has lost its effectiveness when the bath is completely black and stops working.
